Insigne du 1er RCP

Le 1er RCP (reformé en 1943) est le seul régiment parachutiste à
conserver les traces de ses origines au sein de l'Armée de l'air, ainsi
qu'en témoignent les "charognards" placés sur les fourreaux d'épaule
des uniformes et l'insigne (sur la poitrine), qui est celui de l'ancien
601e GIA sous celui de l'Armée de l'air.


Des soldats alliés rencontrent des troupes coloniales françaises.

captured by the Germans in 1940 and forced to work in labor details,

Cette photo n'a pu être prise en Normandie.

Après quelques recherches, je pense que cette photo a bien été prise en Normandie comme le dit le texte en anglais et que l'officier français est un SAS, et non effectivement du 1er RCP, celui ci étant effectivement en Italie puis Valence, avant de remonter vers les Vosges !
